Books to read

Over the past several months, friends have recommended that I read a number of books. I am going to list them with the (more than likely vain) hope that this hold me accountable to actually reading them. When I complete them (in about a year or so) I will try to review them. Then you can know that I am actually reading books. Not just watching TV. These are in no particular order. Feel free to add books that you think I should read. (I have included links because I figured how to do it and I wanted to show off)

1. The Revolution: A Field Manual for Changing Your World, Heather Zydek, ed.

2. God's Politics: Why the Right Gets it Wrong and the Left Doesn't Get it, by Jim Wallis

3. Organic Church: Growing Faith Where Life Happens, by Neil Cole

4. SoulTsunami: Sink or Swim in the New Millennium Culture, by Leonard Sweet

Books that I have recently read that you should read:

1. A New Kind of Christian, by Brian McLaren
2. Searching for God Knows What, by Donald Miller
3. No Perfect People Allowed, by John Burke

Our Endangered Values by Jimmy Carter. Excellent examination of politics and religion, focusing on the common negative characteristics of fundamentalism in all religions and the impact they are having on America's politics.
